Mirro Pressure Cookers

Mirro is a very popular brand in the kitchenware domain.

There are many small appliances and cookware that Mirro makes for its consumers.

All these products are designed to offer the best service to the customers with ease of operation and high efficiency. Among all the products the pressure cookers are some of the best given the price to feature ratio.

The Mirro pressure cookers are typically aluminum based cookers which makes them very economical.

They come in a wide range of capacities and varied designs. Depending on your needs you can pick the one that suits your style of cooking and lifestyle in general.

Mirro 92116 16-Quart Pressure Cooker/Canner

This is a 16 quart capacity pressure cooker made from aluminum. The flat base ensures uniform and quick heating. This ensures that the food is well cooked.

Being made from aluminum, this model is rust proof so you do not have to worry about rust mixing with your food when you cook. At the same time the heavy gauge aluminum means that the unit is durable and can withstand the high pressure while cooking the food. It is also easy to clean and dish washer safe.

Mirro 6-Quart Pressure Cooker

This is another great product from Mirro. This aluminum cooker is made for heavy grade material for durable service and high efficiency cooking.

This unit has a concave base which means that it will not make good contact with flat surfaces. Hence, the instructions manual recommends that you do not use it with glass top stoves.

However, users with glass top stoves have found it to work pretty well. The lid has a pressure monitoring mechanism that lets you keep an eye on the inside pressure. The cooker also has a sure-lock lid to ensure that the steam does not escape.

For safety concerns there is an over pressure release valve which will let the excess pressure out and prevent any danger. The cooker is dish washer safe and comes with highly polished exterior.

Mirro 8-Quart Pressure Cooker

This is a bigger version of the 6 quart cooker. It comes with very similar design and features. The most striking feature of this cooker is the triple safety features.

The unit has a safety release plug that ensures that the cooker does not open till the pressure falls to zero.

It also has a sure locking lid to ensure that the lock is proper and that the steam does not escape while cooking the food.

Lastly, there is the side gasket pressure release to protect against excess pressure build up within the cooker.

Mirro 22-Quart Polished Aluminum Pressure Cooker/Canner

This is one of the biggest of Mirro pressure cookers. It comes with 22 quart capacity and can hold 16 pints or five quart jars in it.

The heavy grade aluminum makes it tough and durable. Besides, the whole cooker is also rust proof too.

This unit comes with three pressure levels: low at 5 psi, medium at 10 psi and the maximum at 15 psi.

Typically, 15 psi levels are considered optimum for pressure cooking. At this pressure, one can not only ensure rapid cooking but also maximum retention of nutrients. It comes with three useful safety features.

The over pressure plug ensures that excess pressure can be released to maintain safe cooking conditions.

This plug can be washed and reused as required. Like other models, this one also has the sure locking lid mechanism and the side gasket pressure release system. This one however, is not rated dishwasher safe. It is preferable to hand wash this cooker, probably due to its sheer size.

Besides the 22 quart model, there are smaller models like the mirro 12 quart pressure cooker which also available in the market. They are very similar to the larger model in terms of features and functionality. Some of the smaller ones are dishwasher friendly too.

Summary

In summary, Mirro does offer a wide range of kitchenware pressure cookers to its customers. Some of these models also come with a recipe book which shows you some great examples for cooking delicious food using just pressure cooker. The Mirro pressure cookers are true value for money.
